Liveline 2.9 release notes

Liveline — New features
1. Preserve relative elevation when dragging multiple asset using the elevation icon
Dragging the Elevation icon now moves the selected assets up and down while keeping their relative height differences intact.
2.Inline arithmetic and mixed units in the property panel
In most numeric fields of the property panel, you can now enter inline arithmetic to adjust values. Calculations support mixed units (e.g., 2 m + 3’ = 2.91 m) and work on multiple assets using the “Mixed” value (e.g., “Mixed + 2 m” applies +2 m to each selected asset).
Note: Addition and subtraction only.
3.Improved library search in Liveline edit mode
a. Smarter search algorithm
A new algorithm powers the library search in edit mode, delivering more relevant results and tolerating minor spelling mistakes.
b. Keywords for better asset discovery
Admins can now add keywords to each asset in the Admin Tool. The search looks through these keywords to surface the right assets higher in the result list.
c. DIREQ assets: manufacturer and category aware
For DIREQ assets, the search also considers the asset’s manufacturer and category to improve findability.
4. Toggle button for collisions in 3D mode
In 3D mode, there’s a new toggle that lets users enable or disable collision while in Avatar and Forklift modes.
5. Ctrl + double‑click: propagate multi‑selection through additional snap points
When you hold the Ctrl key and double‑click an asset, your multi‑selection now extends through additional snap points, selecting all connected assets accessible via those snaps.
6. Pricing added in Bill of Assets
A new pricing column shows the individual price of each asset.
7.Faster .STL and .OBJ file generation
We’ve upgraded the exporter to generate files much faster and to handle larger models reliably (previously capped at around 1 GB).
Admin tool — New features
1. Multiple pricing methods for stretchable assets
Stretchable assets now support multiple pricing methods simultaneously for greater accuracy and flexibility. You can assign pricing per unit, per linear foot (or meter), and per square foot (or meter) at once. This lets you capture the most appropriate price based on how the asset is used.

2. Progress bar and notifications on the Coloring page
When publishing changes in the coloring editor, a progress bar now shows publication progress. Once processing completes, the updated coloring will appear in Liveline after the next restart.
3. Asset keywords to improve search results
A new Keywords field in the Basic section lets you add terms per asset. The new search algorithm uses these keywords to improve asset discoverability in Liveline.
4.Improved Coloring editor
Color and texture settings have been refined to deliver better results in Liveline. For example, glass is now less reflective and requires less processing power to render.
Liveline — Bug fixes
- DIREQ Library compatibility with the latest Chromium version
You’ll now see a prompt to allow local network access when downloading assets from DIREQ or accessing the Bill of Assets. Click Allow to continue using these features in Chrome and Edge.
- “Each” pricing method for stretchable assets: Stretchable assets now correctly support the Each pricing method.
- Stretch behavior in Elevation view: In Elevation view, stretchable assets now display correctly while being stretched.
- Status visibility for mirrorable assets: Assets with the Mirroring setting set to Disabled in the Admin Tool now show the mirror button as disabled in Liveline.
- Snap Behavior toggle regression: Pressing Spacebar while stretching an asset no longer toggles the alignment button. The alignment button remains in its current state until users explicitly click the toggle.
- Pricing precision when converting units : Pricing calculations are now more precise when converting between units of measure.
- Pricing for unassigned assets: Assets without assigned pricing are now counted as $0.
- Layering of pricing pop-up vs. view selector: The view selector now consistently appears above the pricing pop-up.
Admin tool — Bug fixes
- Archiving parent/child asset behavior: Archiving a parent asset now properly dissolves its relationships with all child assets. Archiving a child asset removes only its link to the parent.
- Crash on Coloring “Select all”: The Select all action on the Coloring page no longer crashes, even for assets with many components.
